April, 2012.

• Gavin Olender (aka Bro-lender) is living large in Germany: "I got that job I wanted and moved my family to the south of Germany. We rent but the area is nice and we live nestled in the black forest near the Lake of Constance. The Alps are also not too far away. I assume you have gotten updates about our little girl last September from facebook. About work, I do design verification of the medical products in the company, Aesculap."
• I remember when Union College from Schenectady first joined the ECAC.  Now, they're one of the top teams in the country and one of the teams in the Frozen Four.

March, 2012

• From Adam Biegeleisen (swiped from facebook): Sam became a big brother to Jacob Reid Biegeleisen at 4:31pm on Sunday, March 11, 2012. 

• The ECAC tournament has begun.  RPI hockey is not too good this year.

February, 2012

•  Alumni weekend 2012 is the weekend of April 27th - April 29th.
• Friday we would love to welcome everyone at the house and then proceed to the annual Alumni versus Active Hockey game (rink and ice time TBD) Immediately following will be some late night activities
  
  Saturday will be a fun filled day of lawn sports and Barbecue hosted by the undergrads. Hope for great weather, to relax and catch up with other Alumni.
  
  Dinner will be at the Desmond Hotel, 660 Albany-Shaker Road, Colonie 12211
  
  Prices for the Dinner are as follows
  Alumni with no date $80
  Alumni with date $100
  Active FREE
  Active with date $35
  
  There will be an after party in the Tavern at the Desmond with drink specials, as well as one back in Troy
  
  There is also a block of rooms on reserve at the Desmond Hotel, the Pi Lambda Phi group rate is $125 per night, call 518-869-8100. They also offer complimentary shuttle service from the airport, for anyone flying in.
• Pi Lambda Phi won the annual Pawling Cup football game vs. Alpha Epsilon Pi.  The final score was 21-14.

January, 2012

• Scott Fitzgerald, class of '91, and his wife are the parents of newborn twins ... a boy and a girl.

November, 2011

• A successful and fun turkey dinner took place on 11/18.  The chefs outdid themselves and the plates were stacked high.
• The actives beat the alumni in a Friday night hockey game.  The final score was 6-2.  This Friday night hockey game will likely be an annual preamble to Saturday's turkey dinner.
• The house has one official dog and one unofficial dog.  The official dog is a pit bull mutt of some kind.  The unofficial J-Woo dog is a terrier or something.
• The house has a new banister and a new railing for the front stairs. 
• Zach Piech and his wife welcomed a son on November 1 (swiped from Facebook).
• Current brother Evan Matthew and his RPI civil engineering class visited NYKT alum Hector Luis Eugui III for a tour of the George Washington Bridge.
• Check out Dan Opp's burgeoning stand up comedy career on youtube.  His name is spelled "O.P.P." how do I explain it?  Let me frame by frame it.

• Don't miss the NYKT Thanksgiving turkey dinner, scheduled for November 19th.  Expected cost per person $5 - $10.  What a bargain!

• Jason Mele married Margaret Vele on September 24th.  The Pi Lam contingent included me (Darren Felzenberg), Todd Hayes, Milt Clonmell, Rich White, Jamie Howland, Chris Salustri, George Ramos, and Greg Recine.
